Transport

Hi Everyone!

This week as part of our topic on travel and transport we have had a visit from Cohen's dad who is a member of the Royal Air Force and works with aeroplanes.

He spoke to us about his job and how he fixes aeroplanes.

He let us try a flying helmet on. It was very heavy and very tight fitting.

We also had a visit from Buzz Lightyear!  This was part of our learning about space travel and was very exciting!  We have also made our own planets and astronauts and we've been writing about Neil Armstrong - the man who landed on the moon.

Congratulations to everyone who has been enjoying our Reading Challenge.  Remember you only have to read 5 times in a week to get entered into the Prize Draw each week.  There is a fantastic prize of a book for the child who is chosen from draw - so why not have a go - it's so easy AND you become a better reader as well!

Roxanne is doing the Reading Challenge and she has improved so much with her reading that she read the story to the class on Thursday with Mrs Young!

All you have to do is read to an adult and get them to date and sign your reading record book.  We count up the number of reads every Thursday - good luck!
