Market Day

This week in Beetles class, we have been celebrating Great Yarmouth Market. We have looked at lots of pictures of the market and learnt about its origins. We were even lucky enough to try some chips from the market!
In Topic, we made our own collage chip cones, sponge print sea creatures, and metallic fish drawings!

Topic and Maths

This week in topic we used newspaper and masking tape to create underwater creatures. Alfie Smith enjoyed making an octopus. We also learnt about the seas surrounding the British Isles. In maths, we started using arrow cards to make 2 digit numbers. We then compared the numbers and tried to use mathematical language to explain which number was the biggest.

Topic

This half term our topic is all about the Seaside.

We have been making aquarium collages.

Working together to complete Nemo and under the sea puzzles.

This week we have been thinking about floating and sinking.
We tried to predict whether objects would float or sink in our tank of water.

As it is Queen Elizabeth's official 90th Birthday this week, we decorated cupcakes with red, white and blue icing.
